Hello -
I know many people don't know that there are some great dining
experiences beyond San Francisco! While I could list all my favorite
restaurants in the city of San Francsico I'm sure the list would be a
duplicate of what others have posted. So instead I would like to let you
all know about a wonderful restaurant in a very beautiful setting east
of SF.
This is Wente Vineyards Restaurant and it is a 5-star resaurant in the
Livermore Valley. You can look them up at WenteVineyards.com.
The first thing to mention, besides the beautiful setting of green hills
and trees and grapevines, is the FRIENDLY service. All the people that
work there are like a family and they treat you the same. If you are
there for jovial fun and conversation - you got it. If you are there for
a quiet romantic and/or reflective meal you get that too. They cater
their service to the experience you are looking for and they make it
work.
The second thing is the food. Wonderful, daily menus. Very yummy roasted
meats, spectacular seafood, thoughtfully prepared vegtable dishes, and
since they have their very own pastry chef it's worth going there just
for a glass of wine and dessert only! (which I have done on many
occasion)
So if you would like a seanic drive in the country and a fabulous dining
experience please consider Wente.
Oh and they have concerts during the summer which are fun too!
