Saudi Arabia Middle
Eastern food is quite delicious and there are many local specialties that
everyone enjoys. Khobz
is unleavened Arabic bread and is eaten, freshly baked, with almost everything.
Shawerma (thinly sliced,
spit-cooked sliced lamb or chicken), felafel
(deep-fried chickpea balls), and fuul
(a paste of beans, garlic and lemon) are staple items. Traditional Arabic coffee
is wonderfully aromatic and served everywhere.
Traditional
eating times are very late by Western standards and it’s not unusual to
see a restaurant car park still packed with cars well after midnight. Introduction
