On a premises of 1,000m2, Song Ngu is able to serve 250 guests at a time. Their specialties include quality sea food such as shrimps, crabs, fish, and the like, which are prepared in Vietnamese ways of cooking.

Every evening, diners at Song Ngu can enjoy live traditional Vietnamese music. Traditional dances are also performed if requested beforehand.

In addition to its regular customers who are local and expatriate business people, Song Ngu's major patronage also comprises diplomats and families who want to enjoy excellent food served in a cozy ambience. In December 1998, Japanese Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi and his 70-strong entourage of government officials and Japanese business leaders met and had dinner at the restaurant. Song Ngu's list of VIP frequenters also includes foreign minister of New Zealand, transport minister of Japan, information minister of Singapore and others.

Song Ngu's prestige has gone far and wide. For two consecutive years, 1998 - 1999, a Japanese television featured Vietnamese gastronomy through Song Ngu's menu.
