In
gastronomic terms, the French word 'salonard' signifies someone
who is a frequent visitor to a 'salon de dégustation', that is
a wine-tasting salon. 'Salonards' - the female equivalent is 'salonardes'
- are like-minded aficionados of all the good things in life,
especially good wine accompanied by an appropriately appetising
meal.
This authentic gastronomic tradition, which stems from 19th
century Paris with its countless 'salons de dégustation', is
carried on enthusiastically today by partners Pauke Dekker and
Remco Pfeifer at Hoogbrugstraat 76 in the Maastricht quarter of
Wyck.

By adopting a fresh and highly original approach to gastronomy,
Le Salonard is able to offer its guests the possibility of
practicing the art of real enjoyment at the very highest
standards.

A
new wine formula
Our "Back to basics!" motto is an attempt to introduce
a new business formula which we believe is unique.
In order to share our enthusiasm for good wines with you and
because we want to make top-class wines accessible to a wider
public, we have developed the following business formula. For a
fixed price of NLG 100 each guest can enjoy an exquisite
four-course meal consisting of imaginatively prepared quality
seasonal dishes. We do not have a menu as such, but try instead
to fit in with your wishes and requirements.
Our wine list has been put together carefully to cater for wine
connoisseurs like ourselves and includes only those wines which
are of a superior quality in each of the price categories.
What's more, the wines we serve are poured at cost-price. If you
so wish we can of course help you in your selection of wines. |
