...from Restaurants, Biergaerten, Cafe's, Grills, Diners and Pubs around the world!

Karen's in the Country offers extensive menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Karen's in the County serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. All menu items are prepared with natural ingredients and are made right here at Karen's! Here are sample menu items from each, to see a complete menu, you'll just have to visit us!

People ask us, "What makes breakfast so special at Karens?" It's because breakfast is special to all of us! We make sure everything we serve is better than you'd expect! We start with the highest quality fresh ingredients available, then prepare and serve them with old fashioned love and friendliness that will keep you coming back for more! Our breads and rolls are baked in our own bakery using our prize-winning recipes. Our fresh country potatoes, our country link sausage, our extra thick sliced bacon, our flavorful turkey sausage and our wonderful buttermilk pancakes are just some of the items we can be extra proud of.

Our wonderful Plaza Drive French Toast!

Our Famous Cheese Crepes
Our grilled crepes are very similar to blintzes and come topped with strawberry sauce and whipped cream. These are made with real sour cream and cream cheese whipped together (one of Karen's favorite Connecticut recipes...fondly remembered as Zogbaum crepes). With eggs of your choice and your choice of bacon, country link sausage, ham or charbroiled turkey sausage.

Plaza Drive French Toast
Our special "stuffed" round bread has cream cheese & jam rolled inside before baking! A very special treat!

Cinnamon Raisin French Toast
You could easily become hooked on this one, especially with raspberry butter on it!

Granola Pancakes
Our famous pancakes with our own granola - a must with raspberry butter!

The Mexican Scamlette
A "Scramlette Omelette", a Karen's specialty since 1974. Our own jalapeno cream cheese, mushrooms, green onion, tomatoes, black olives, tortillas, cheddar and oh yes, eggs!

Boulder Bennie
Poached eggs with avocado and tomatoes on our own English muffins and of course topped with Hollandaise.

Country Oatmeal
A pot of rolled oats "cooked-up" with raisins 'n brown sugar.

The "Country" is a favorite gathering spot for groups, a luncheon, a fast bite, entertaining clients and just plain relaxing. Of course all breads, buns and desserts are made right here at Karen's. Just a sampling of our larger lunch menu....
Our Oriental Salad, a perfect salad for lunch!

Crispy Cobb
Crisp chicken breast, bleu cheese, tomatoes, hard cooked eggs & toasted almonds.

Seafood Salad
Shrimp, crab & whitefish, hard cooked eggs, avocado, tomatoes & sprouts.

Sante Fe Chicken Sandwich
Breast meat marinated in beer & fresh citrus juices, served with refried beans, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce & tomatoes on a fresh-made bun.

Fresh Warm Turkey Breast
A "Country Favorite"! Roasted daily & served on a grinder roll fresh out of the oven.

Old Fashioned Open Faced Hot Roasted Turkey
An old favorite here at Karen's. Served with real mashers, of course, plus cranberry sauce and the best gravy!

Healthy Hannah
Swiss & Cheddar teamed up with lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms & red onions on whole grain bread.

Plaza Reuben
Very lean corned beef with Swiss cheese, 1000 island dressing & kraut on our Jewish rye bread. Grilled to supreme gooshiness!

Iowa Dave's Pork Cutlet
Just like back in Iowa, we pound the "I" out of fresh pork & serve it on a bun with tomato, onion, mustard & lettuce.

The house favorite Tournedos Coliseum

Artichoke Bake
A house favorite appetizer! A creamy dip filled with artichokes and Reggiano Parmesan, served with croustades.

Southwest Smoked Chicken Salad
Cool greens with cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, sour cream, and guacamole, topped with caramelized onion and a smoked chicken breast. Served with our homemade ranch salsa dressing.

Seafood St. Jacques
A combination of shrimp, scallops and crabmeat in vin blanc sauce, crowned with Duchesse potatoes and Swiss cheese.

Raspberry Duck
Slow roasted and dipped in raspberry demiglace. A favorite of our "regulars" for years.

Homemade Tagliatelle
Large noodle ribbons tossed with wild mushrooms, asparagus, white wine sauce and herbs.

Tournedos Coliseum
Twin medallions of beef in blackening spices, grilled to your liking. One medallion topped with bearnaise - the other with cabernet savignon sauce. An employee and regular favorite!
